In 2018, the Arizona Coyotes teamed up with Arizona native and Olympic silver medalist Lyndsey Fry to provide a place for young girls to fall in love with the sport of hockey, build confidence on and off the ice, connect with female role models and create lifelong friendships with girls just like them! That is how Small Frys, the premier girls hockey development program in Arizona, was born.
Small Frys is intended for young girls ages 6-12 who have gone through a Learn to Play/Skate program (such as Little Leightons or Shott's Tots) and want to continue growing as a hockey player.
Girls will be taught hockey-specific skating skills, stickhandling, passing, shooting, positioning, and game-play. Most importantly, the girls will be challenged with a new sport and given life skills that they will carry with them forever!
