Skatin' For Leighton & Kachinas End of Year Celebration
Skatin’ for Leighton is scheduled for April 26, 2026! Join us in honoring the incredible life and legacy of Leighton Accardo and raising money for the Leighton Accardo Memorial Fund.
Now in its sixth year, Skatin’ For Leighton was launched in February 2021 by Lyndsey Fry, President and Co-Founder of the Arizona Kachinas, who skated 96 miles across Arizona to raise awareness. The event continues to grow, uniting the youth hockey and baseball communities and Phoenix Valley leaders, while raising funds to help girls continue their hockey journey.

About Skatin’ for Leighton
This fundraiser benefits the Leighton Accardo Memorial Fund, which provides financial assistance to young girls with a passion for hockey. This year, participants will be able to skate the concourse and/or walk/run the field! Thanks to generous sponsors, we ensure that no aspiring player is kept off the ice due to financial barriers. With 18 teams in our organization, at least one family per team receives support through the fund. Your donations (tax-deductible) will provide support for girls hockey in Arizona!

About the Arizona Kachinas
The Arizona Kachinas, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, are dedicated to growing and developing female hockey players across Arizona. As the state’s only Tier 1 all-girls hockey organization, we provide a competitive, growth-focused environment led by Olympian Lyndsey Fry. Our mission is simple — to create an opportunity for every girl in Arizona to safely play girls' hockey at her appropriate age and skill level while developing a lifelong love of the game.
