Volunteers
The Arizona Kachinas depend on its volunteers to support a quality hockey program for all our youth athletes. The time, talent and energy that each family contributes helps create the necessary resources and offset the cost of operating a hockey association. -
The Kachinas uses two forms of volunteering to support teams and the association. Families are encouraged to complete Association Volunteering and support their team with Team-Level Volunteering.
Association Volunteering
The Arizona Kachinas host many Organization Wide Events. The Events will include Holiday Party, Skatin' for Leighton, Tournament Host Weekends and much more!

Team-Level Volunteering
Team Manager's are responsible for identifying certified volunteers at the Team-Level to help throughout the season. Volunteers can include:
- Locker Room Monitors*
- Dryland Monitors*
- Penalty Box Volunteers*
- Equipment Managers
- Videographer/Photographer
- Event Coordinator
- Statistician
If you would like to volunteer, please complete this form, the registrar will then be able to add them to your team’s contact sheet. A Team Manager is unable to enlist help from volunteers until they are approved by the registrar.
Step 1 - USA Hockey Registration
This is free for volunteers, and must be done each year
2025-2026 USA Hockey numbers have a 6 as the fourth digit example: 123456789XXKAC
Step 2 - Safe Sport Training
This is free to volunteers, and must be done each year
It may take 24 hours for your USA Hockey Registration to be recognized with Safe Sport
Step 3 - Background Check
In compliance with requirements from the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), USA Hockey has implemented a national-level; background screening policy using NCSI which is the background check accepted by USA Hockey. Background screenings are valid for two years from the date of completion
