Conflict Resolution Protocol
To ensure a respectful and effective resolution process, all concerns should follow the steps outlined below. The 24-Hour Rule applies as the first step: individuals should wait 24 hours before addressing non-emergency concerns to allow for thoughtful and constructive dialogue.
- Initial Concern
- Parent/Guardian reports the issue to the Team Manager.
- If the concern involves the Team Manager, the report should be made directly to the Head Coach.
- Escalation
- If the issue is not resolved at the team level, the concern should be submitted using the official Concern & Feedback Form (accessible to all stakeholders)
- 2025-2026 Suggestion and Feedback Form
- The form is reviewed by the Registrar and the Elite Director.
- Mediation
- The Registrar and/or Elite Director will coordinate a mediation session with necessary parties.
- Further Escalation
- If mediation does not resolve the issue, the Elite Director may escalate the matter to the Board of Directors.
- The Board may hold a formal hearing in accordance with USA Hockey guidelines.
- Disciplinary Review
- If a player is involved in the issue, the matter may be referred to the Disciplinary Committee for further review and action.
- Final Appeal
- Unresolved cases may be appealed to AAHA (Arizona Amateur Hockey Association) or USA Hockey, as appropriate.
Reporting Chain
- Team Managers report concerns to the Registrar
- Coaches report concerns directly to the Elite Director
